The Cube’s cuteness is legendary and has clearly been retained for this release. I still own one of the original 1GB v1 models (without color and video) and it’s been working great for years, although I think I’ll be finding an excuse to upgrade to this one soon. You can get the official word from the Mobiblu official North American website[sorry, site no longer exists and new one not identified] or check out some of other reviews at Coolest Gadgets. Because it was announced almost a full year ago some of the original reviews (like CNet, Engadget) posted on what is apparently old specs as it is now being advertised with 4GB (up from 2) and is listed at $119 (up from $100.)

I’ll leave the technical specs and comparisons to others. What I love about my cubie is that it’s not an iPod, I’ve definitely gotten my $100 out of it, and I’ve had some amazing conversations in elevators and on airplanes. Women tend to like that it looks like jewelry (ok, techno jewelry, but still) and the men can’t stand spotting a gadget that they don’t know about. Everyone seems to appreciate the cuteness and the nurdle factor.
